(5) Sitting bones

Mark the position of your sit bones on the seat. To do this, install the seat on your motorcycle, sit on the seat and take your riding position. Note the location where your sit bones press on the seat and mark them with an orthogonal line to the already drawn center line.

(6) Mark gelpad

Place the gelpad on the drawn position and mark the position. Depending on the seat and your riding position, the position of the gelpad may vary, as a rule the center of the gelpad is well put two fingers behind the sit bone position.

(7) Cut the gelpad

On one side of the gelpad, mark the section which is not lies flat on seat foam by its own weight and cut it off. Use the remaining piece to mark the other side. Cut it too.

(11) Cut grid lines

Cut along the outer contour and the grid lines. Exercise this step slowly and carefully with sawing movements. DO NOT pull the cutter through the foam, as this can break the foam!

(12) Surface scraping

If you have cut the outer contour and all the grid lines, remove the remaining foam squares flush to their cutted depth of the step before using a cutter or a scraper. Measure the depth of the cleared area and level it.

(13) Insert the gelpad

Place the gelpad in the cleared field. It should be a snug fit and flush with the edges. If you have cut too deep you can fill the gap by placing a thin foam on the cutted surface.

(14) Foam optional

If you use our COMFORT, ANTI-SLIP or DIAMOND seat cover, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you should now spray the entire foam area of the bench with spray adhesive and glue 5mm foam on it to conceal the transitions between the gelpad and the original foam. (Note: In our COMFORT, ANTI-SLIP and DIAMOND cover, the foam is already sewn-in!)
